Assists 22 local governments with their
Comprehensive Plan and Solid Waste Management Plans.
Provides local technical planning assistance to eight local governments
annually with zoning ordinances/amendments/zoning maps/subdivision
regulations.
Coordinates implementation and planning of eight county and 17 municipal
member local governments for Service Delivery strategies.
Prepares updates for the Regional Agenda for the eight-county Lower
Chattahoochee RDC area.Coordinates with the Georgia
Department of Transportation (GDOT) in providing
Bicycle/Pedestrian
planning for existing and future projects.
Conducts reviews on applications for Federal or State grant/loan/permit
assistance applicants in accordance with the provisions of the Georgia
Intergovernmental Consultation process (Executive Order 12372).
Assists in Rural Empowerment Zone planning, Champion Community planning
and administration for the Southern Lower Chattahoochee COG, Inc.
Provides planning assistance to Georgia Department of Natural
Resources-Environmental Protection Division, Total Maximum Daily Load
program.
Assists Georgia RAC 8 program planning for 16 county area jurisdiction in
coordination with Georgia DITT and DCA.
Provides assistance with the development of ordinances for the protection
of environmental resources that meet the Environmental Planning Criteria.
